The Germs had no difficulty finding shows from 1978-80 while I managed them. The difficulty happened prior to that because their fans trashed the venues. We put a stop to that when I took over and like their peers, the Germs resumed playing shows all over the Los Angeles area. In fact, and this doesn't fit the Mullen/Bolles narrative of chaos and failure, I had the Germs playing shows at clubs for $1000 a night -- an unheard of sum during a time when admissions were $3.00 and most bands were playing for beer.

2. This continued until the band broke up in 1980, a few months after I quit as manager. The reason I quit was that the band members were fighting with each other, with Bolles being the odd man out (among other things, it really pissed Darby off that during his off-Germs gigs, Bolles wore dresses). I quit on April 1, 1980 and the band disbanded shortly thereafter.

3. I formed their self-administered publishing company under the auspices of BUG music in 1978, two years before the band imploded. It was my foresight that has reaped the song-writers hundreds of thousands of dollars since the Slash record came out.

4. The Starwood show was not a Germs reunion -- it was a Darby Crash Band show. There was no "Germs reunion" show at the Starwood. The contention that it was a Germs show is utterly false.

All the best,
Nicole Panter
Germs manager, 1978xoxnichttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01118420086783135603noreply@blogger.com
